big mistake
so, i did a braidout on my hair the other night. my locs are 2.5mos old and my hair is really soft and curly. it was a Big Mistake. i ended up with just a few waves, but my ends were straight. i thought i had ruined my locs. i won't be styling until fully locked.

If you hop in the shower and let the steam hit them they will curl right back up.
I know how hard it is to NOT style your babylocks (lol)...I did so but didn't suffer too much (lucky I guess). I finally started loving my freestyle and now I am too lazy to style regularly (lol). My locs are only 8 mos. so I too still have time to go before I can be a regular stylist.
Hey Lady. Very cool blog. I know that it is frustrating to want to start styling right away and not be able to do so. In my 10 months, I've only styled once and that was
at 7 months. You don't want to start styling too early and end up paying for it. Patience is key. It's definitely worth the wait.

Hey I am just now seeing the photos of your "big mistake" I think you hair looks really darn cute. Of course you should stick with free styling as much as possible but if that is what you call a mistake then you must be FIRE when you get it right (lol).
